When you enter the property from the driveway or garage, you will pass by the main house and find a beautiful oasis in front of you. There are so many interesting sights; objects d'art and many rock features including a petroglyph rock, all framed by beautiful landscaping going from desert plants to a lush, tropical feel surrounding the refreshing pool. The pool, which is shared with the main house, has a large shelf with chairs and an umbrella if you feel like lounging in the water. (Please note that the pool is not heated.) Just beyond the pool is the small pond with colorful koi and beautiful water lilies (in season). There is also a double lounger outside the front door if you want a comfortable place to sip on an iced tea and read a book. Don't miss the private fire pit! Nothing beats sitting by the fire pit with a glass of wine on a cool desert night. You know you are on holiday!
The backyard boasts a private, custom barbecue built in 2014. It might be difficult to keep your eyes on the grill as you enjoy the majestic beauty of Camelback Mountain right in front of you. The fire pit was added in the summer of 2015. The flames are particularly mesmerizing as they dance through the beautiful glass pebbles filling the pit. This backyard is also home to our own mini desert botanical garden filled with many species of cactus and succulents. Just behind you is the orchard which has over twenty fruit trees from grapefruits (pink & yellow), oranges, tangerines, pomelos, lemons (yellow & pink), limes & pomegranates. In season, you are welcomed to help yourself to as much as you would like.
Interested in turtles and tortoises? There are three fenced environments on the property: one with a 150-pound African Sulcata Tortoise, one with rescued box turtles and the last with rescued desert tortoises (indigenous to Arizona). All three of these environments are located discreetly to the side of the property, or in the front, so if this is not your cup of tea, you will not even know they are here. This house is also home to dogs. If you are not a dog-person, we will keep them out of your way. If you enjoy them, they will offer you a dog-fix while you are away from home! Twelve hummingbird feeders are placed around the property. Arizona hosts the largest variety of hummingbirds in the United States, so you will have many opportunities to see different varieties and enjoy their antics as they feed, protect their 'personal' feeders and bathe/drink in the fountains.

This home is within an easy walk of AJs Specialty Grocer, Hilton Village Shopping, numerous fine restaurants including Flemings, Crust, Bianco & Paul Martin's as well as Silverado Golf Course and the Arizona Canal, a great place to walk or ride a bicycle. (Included with the house are two bicycles, new in 2014.) We are five minutes from the 101 Freeway and the Salt River Fields Spring Training Center, home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. We are fifteen to twenty minutes from Scottsdale Stadium, the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants, the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction and WM Golf Tournament. It will only take twenty minutes to get to Sky Harbor Airport. Wherever your business or pleasure takes you in the Valley of the Sun, you can easily access your route from this central location.

Scottsdale Oasis is a 2000+ square foot guest house located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona. This guest house sits in the backyard, behind the main house and swimming pool. [We also have a second 1500+ square foot unit which angles directly off the main house and is adjacent to the guest house, framing the pool in a beautiful courtyard setting. This 1500 square foot unit (one bedroom, bath, living room, powder room and full kitchen) is also available for rent upon inquiry.]
From the moment you drive into the driveway and see the Jim Sudal Welcome Sign flanked by native cacti and a stunning rock sculpture, you know you have arrived at a very special place!
The interior is filled with timeless mahogany furniture, custom seating areas and lots of art with an emphasis on the southwest. The oversized master bedroom has a Westin Heavenly Sleep pillow top king-sized mattress with 1600 thread count 100% pure Egyptian cotton linens and a closet big enough to be called its own room. The private en suite bathroom is equipped with an oversized shower, double sinks, a make-up vanity and an abundance of storage space. The second bedroom, located on the other side of the house, boasts a Westin Heavenly Sleep queen-sized mattress with the same luxury linens and an exit to the patio where you can enjoy the barbecue, fire pit, view of Camelback Mountain and the 6' onyx and marble fountain that hosts many hummingbirds looking for a shower or a sip of water. Feel like curling up with a book? Do so in one of the two very large Queen Anne chairs in the separate sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we could think of. If you can't find what you need, let us know; we will do everything possible to get it to you within a short period of time. A built-in desk completes the kitchen.
